Powerful images. We see these family images all the time don't we: tenderness exchanged among loved ones, a child comfortably leaning into the safe embrace of a parent, a couple exchanging a tender moment. The difference is that these photos are depicting an African American family. These are images we seldom see in the media. Methinks we'll be seeing a lot more of them. Perhaps one day they will even supercede the old, painful images.
