Another place

(I wrote this in another place but I wanted to put it here for Nick with the photos I just posted)

I was talking with my son about this last night when he returned from the airport after having spent time in the desert of Arizona. He desperately seeks often this kind of transpersonal experience, even though for a younger person his feet are pretty firmly planted. He still reaches into the mystery; somewhat as an answer to the bigger question of "why," but more, it seems, to just experience it. I think for some of us it is enough to be here in the midst of it and to know we are head deep in the heart of the unknown.

He came home with one regret, and it was that he wished my dad would have let him stand on a vortice in Sedona. He said he didn't expect anything special would happen, but he just wanted to find out. That, I told him, was probably special all by itself. Next time I'll take him though .

I want to tell you something I found out. I had an experience, a super synchronicity it could be called, something where all and each piece of this certain... Thing came together, and me and this ...Whatever had a meeting of the minds. I asked for something and it came to me, that same day it came to me. I was a believer. And here is something I learned: That It, the Whatever, is not benevolent, and it is not a tester or a dealer, it's not knowable or personal. It is an Opening, a moving into, to every potential and we are putting our hands in the grab-bag of life all the time and pulling out anything we ask for, consciously, or Unconsciously and we are making something with it... or not. And even when we choose not to do anything we still are doing something with what we are given. Do I know this as a Truth? I am certain it is, and I think what it is more than love, it is perpetuation. We have our hands in our evolution.

Not yet got hold of a copy. Not sure about some of the religious stuff but the psychology looks interesting.
