There is a pattern here this month. So far I have been writing for 3 days on, one day off and now I'm in the 2nd part of the pattern, and this is the 2nd of the 3rd day, get it? So I will write tomorrow too. Maybe. That is if the pattern is 3 days on, one day off and 3 on. I might make the pattern 3 on, one off and 2 on, so this might be the last day and I'll skip tomorrow and start the pattern again the day after tomorrow. Unless I take two days off. It's all a mystery. So really, thinking on that, I guess there really isn't a pattern at all.
What am I even talking about?
Ok here is the day: it's sunny and 70's again.
Garden report: Tomatoes are almost thigh high and the pepper plant, the one that lived is like a little palm tree. I put in a banana pepper seed where the other one was and it is just a green dot in the soil right now. Fingers are crossed but outlook is grim.
I thinned the cukes to two plants for each side of the fence and the peas I'm sticking with five. I feel like I'll be lucky to get anything out of those since it's so warm, but we'll see.
Words of Wisdom: "What is my deepest passion, what is it that moves me profoundly?"
Hm, easier asked than known.
Memory: Clocking Hal Howard when I was 8 because I really wanted to know what it felt like to punch someone. He went down too.
Best breakfast: Fried eggs, buttered toast and bacon from an iron skillet over a campfire.
Best lunch: Cheese with mustard sandwiches at a rest stop in Kansas and not seeing the Rocky Mountains, but knowing after lunch and a nap in the car that I would.
Best Supper: Shrimp and linguine with a spicy tomato sauce and a chianti on an outdoor terrace at a restaurant under an umbrella in the city with the sun going down.
Best dessert: The perfect bite: cheesecake, a slice of fresh strawberry, washed down with a sip of Baileys. Mmm, delicious....

Do you know what I do when I've looked at the computer screen for so long that I think my brain cells have mutated beyond recognition and I'm in well-oiled machine mode?
I come here..to see what glimpses of your world you have offered up for the day. It's like sharing in communion and never leaving without feeling nourished by the experiences of everyday life.
The part about the Rockies...yeah, I know that feeling. That first sighting when I'm not sure if it's clouds, tired eyes or my beloved mountains.
Next time we get together...cheesecake, strawberries and Baileys :-)
Look to west and see those puffy cumulus low in the sky and squint, yep, there they are ~ even here in our midwest .
It's a delicious date :)
