Leo Kottke
This is the clip Nicholas wanted to show me:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnQTC5ICGik
It started to drive me a little batty about halfway through though because I had about 17 things on my plate at the time that were all vying to be accomplished then and there, but that is what good mothers do :). We take a deep breath, tell the energies inside us that pull us this way and that, around and over, "WAIT." And we listen anyhow.
He loves the musicianship of people who play well, and I get that. I get the feeling of deep admiration for that kind of excellence.
PS. Leo Kottke used the words "Sad Sack" in his essay which made me smile. I remember being a serious Sad Sack... :)
