Can this Blog get any boring-er?
I look at some of the random blogs that come up and many aren't even in a language I can read, but the pictures and the way things are set up and the little this and that and what-nots are sooo cool. I guess it pays not to be lazy about learning something new. I have every desire to have this blog look unique and no desire to go about learning how. What a dilemma...
O.k. I will admit this: I have started to read books again. Icouldn't help it. It's like the Universe was not paying one bita attention to me until I said, "I am giving up books." And it whipped it's head around to look at me, raised an eyebrow that said, "Oh yeah? We'll see about that..." This is weird though, the novel I am reading called "The Year of Pleasures" I found it at the library.... (Um, that's not the weird part....) But, I took it on the plane with me and was completely engrossed in it. So I get to St Louis, tell my friend, "I am reading this great novel..." but didn't mention the title, and we get back to her place and there on the coffee table is her copy of it. Funny world, yeah? Anyhow, we get together to celebrate our birthdays ~ both of us Scorps ~ and she gave to me this intiguing book about Marion Woodman. And ofcourse, I love it and could never put it away without reading it. So I fell off the wagon. Whaddya gonna do...
O.k. today would have been Carl Sagan's, I think, 72nd birthday? It could be 73.. but I'm not sure. Anyhow now he is ageless so it doesn't matter.
"A dense clump of material attracts adjacent gas and dust, grows larger and more massive, more efficiently draws matter to it, and is off it's way to stardom. When the temperatures and pressures in it's interior become high enough, hydrogen atoms - the most abundant material in the Universe by far - are jammed together and thermonuclear reactions are initiated... When it happens on a large enough scale, the star turns on and the nearby darkness is disspelled. Matter is turned into light...."
(That is from the book "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors")(one that I gave away :( I wish I had it back now...)
O.k. well happy birthday dead guy. And I am off to be alive while I can and that means taking this sweaty body and giving it a showering after a hard workout.
O.k. a semi-hard workout...
I've said O.k. like 16 times. Maybe that will be my unique addition to the Blog World. O.k.? O.k.
